Examples of Jane's Recent Projects

  • San Luis Transmission Line (SLTP) Project, Tracy to Dos Amigos. Jane Valerius worked under contract with Aspen Environmental Group for the Western Area Power Administration (Western) to conduct a habitat assessment and biological resources report in support of an Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (EIR/EIS) for the proposed SLTP project which crosses Alameda, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Merced Counties along the foothills of the Diablo Range in western San Joaquin Valley.

  • PG&E Line 132, Segment T37 Gas Pipeline Inspection Project and PG&E Line 132 Valve Station and Vent Relocation Projects, San Mateo County. Jane Valerius conducted surveys for special status plants for PG&E on San Bruno Mountain, San Mateo County. Portions of the proposed work areas are within the San Bruno Mountain Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) management boundaries, which were established to protect and manage four federally listed butterfly species. This work was done from 2012 to 2014.

  • City of Willits, Wastewater Treatment/Water Reclamation Project, Mendocino County, CA. Jane Valerius is working (2017-2018) under contract to the City of Willits to monitor the created wetlands for their upgraded Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Jane also conducted surveys for special status plants and a wetland delineation for the 160-acre original project area and an additional 125-acre proposed mitigation site. Jane also monitored populations of Baker's meadowfoam, a state listed rare plant, on the project site.
